Ian Sampson has degrees in Commerce and Law and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Management. He has served as an independent and non-executive director on many Boards and as a management advisor for the past decade following a 30-year career in top ranking companies such as BHP and CSR.

Ian is a Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of Sugar Research Australia Ltd, Chairman of 139 Club Ltd and Chairman of The Leadership Foundation. He chairs the People and Governance Committee of QEnergy Ltd, is a Chairman of the CEO Institute and is an associate director of AMPLIFi Governance. He has just retired as a Director of Peoplecare Health Ltd after 10 years of service.

Ian has governance, strategy development, risk and audit management, financial management, board evaluation, remuneration and development expertise in a variety of industry sectors.

Ian’s management advisory assignments include large scale organisational change projects in manufacturing, mining, agriculture, technology, transport and infrastructure businesses in several countries.
